CBP Launches New CTPAT Portal Website

After two weeks of delays, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection is planning to launch Phase II of the CTPAT Portal 2.0 website on Friday, May 29th. The installation process, which should take approximately two days, promises to bring much needed updates to the old system. The website will be unavailable during the transfer process.

The new Phase promises enhanced account management tools, an updated format for completing the Security Profile, and allow CTPAT partners who have more than one account to easily access and manage all account simultaneously. Previous errors and issues will be fixed, and the addition of the Exporter application allows interested exporters to apply for CTPAT.

After months of emails and planning, the initial update, scheduled for May 16th, was pushed back two weeks. No word was given as to why the delay occurred. The new Phase II portal will be available beginning June 1st.
